The History of the Game of Crap
It is a well known fact that the game of craps is the oldest dice game existing on our planet and it’s been played since the time of the crusades and is generally believed to be derived from the game called Hazard that was invented by none other than Sir William of Tyre. The game of Hazard turned exceptionally popular during the 17th century more so amongst the English dignity that frequented the high-class gambling houses.
There was a time when the French discovered this simple to play and a social game which got it’s name changed to craps, craps was the name which was given to the least value of the throw of dice in case of the game of hazard. Subsequently the game of craps came to the United States of America and got spread to the other parts of the country through the Mississippi river boats – every single player bringing in newer elements to this game.
So, after a brief acquaintance with the game of crap here I present to you a brief idea on different forms of the game of craps.
Different Forms of the Game of Craps
Currently there exist three major forms of the game of craps:
Casino craps: The game of craps is being played at the proper tables across majority of the land based casinos worldwide.
The Street craps: This form is being played out without the table, it is more of an informal version of the game of craps and is remarkably popular among the soldier community and the students in quest of passing the time before moving their heads back to the pages of the books.
The Online craps: This form of the game combines both the street and the casino craps and offer a lot simpler way of enjoying this game. The game of Craps is a lot more popular among the online gamers and functions exactly the same way as the table craps. The only thing that misses from the online version is the social aspect and amity which takes place while playing in the craps table.
So, these are the basics one need to know before knowing the rules of the game and eventually play it.
